The Shugo Kokka-ron

By Nichiren Shonin, Translated by Kyotsu Hori, published 1998,

St. Nichiren wrote the Shugo kokka-ron in the first year of the Shogen Period (1259), seven years after his prolaiming Nichiren Buddhism. The original manuscript kept in the Kuonji Temple on Mt. Minobu was destroyed in a fire in January of the eigth year of the Meiji Period (1875).
