New: Rev Cederman will be visiting members' houses from July 8-10 for Obon. This is called tangyo. If you would like Rev Cederman to visit your house, please contact him.

Sunday Services
On most Sundays we offer an English service at 10:30 a.m. and a Japanese service at 1:00 p.m. On special occasions services may be held at a different times. For details, check the calendar at the bottom of this page.

Please note that Rev Cederman will be in Japan for training and meetings from June 11th until early July. Sunday services in June will be conducted by Rev Sorenson, but there will be no Saturday activities. There will be no service on Sunday, July 4th.

Following the Obon service on July 11th, there will be a combined service at 10:30 a.m and no afternoon services. Afternoon services will resume in the fall. Angya
Beginning in March, angya (walking chanting) will be held the last day of each month at noon. Please contact Rev Cederman if you would like to join us.

Wasan
Beginning in March, there will be a short wasan practice following the morning English service. On days when there is a special service, we will not have wasan practice.

Shodaigyo
Shodaigyo is usually held on the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. If you wish to attend, please contact Rev Cederman.

Shakyo
Beginning in April, we will do shakyo on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Shakyo is the copying of the sutra and is one of the practices encouraged in the Lotus Sutra.

Classes on Buddhism and the Lotus Sutra
Lotus Sutra classes are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Occasionally an all-day introductory Buddhism class will be held instead. Please check the calendar below to verify dates as there may be changes. If you wish to attend, please contact Rev Cederman.

Karmic Atonement Ceremony
Beginning in March 2010, karmic atonement ceremonies (also known as repentance ceremonies) will be held at 10:00 a.m. on the 4th Saturday of each month. If you wish to attend, please notify Rev Cederman in advance.

Dharma School
Dharma school for children is held most Sundays at 11:30 a.m. Please check the calendar below for more information.

Church Hours
In addition to events specifically listed on the calender below, the church will also be open every day except Monday for morning service at 8:00 a.m. and for evening service at 4 p.m. Please call before coming to make sure that Rev Cederman will be there.

Volunteers Needed
The church will be open during the day Tuesday through Friday for people to volunteer to help clean and to train, study and ask questions in a temple environment. Pease contact the temple before coming.
