Highlights of upcoming NONA Events:

NONA Buisiness Meeting 2010 :
Every two years the Nichiren Order holds its business meeting (NONA conference) and every fourth year is the NONA convention which is where we elect officers for the council and elect a new Bishop. The 2010 Buisiness meeting will be held at the NBIC in Hayward California on August 28 & 29. The business meeting (conference) and convention are for members of Nichiren Shu. If you are interested in attending, please let your local minister know and he or she will provide additional information.

NONA Dharma Conference 2010 :
At this time no Dharma Conference is scheduled for this year. Please check with your local Temple for retreats and Conferences being held in your local area. LA Temple will be offering a day long Dharma Conference on English Chanting in October 2010. For more information please email the LA Temple. Dharma Conferences are an opportunity to learn more about the Nichiren school of Buddhism from a more academic perspective. The Conference brings priests and lay members together for several days of lectures and discussions.

NONA Retreat 2011 :
The retreat is an opportunity for Nichiren Shu members and anyone interested in Nichiren Buddhism to practice intensely and experience many different practices.

Pilgrimage 2011 :
The Nichiren Order of North America is currently looking at putting a pilgrimage together to Japan for February of 2011. Pilgrimage is a way to follow in the footsteps of our founder and lead the participants in a spiritually intense expericence. If you are interested or would like more information please talk to your local minister. Please start saving for this pilgrimage and set your goal for coming with us to Japan in 2011. You may also visit the 2006 pilgrimage web page which chronicles that event.
